Privacy Policy

Short version: Lynx keeps everything on your device. It has no accounts and no servers, collects no personal data, and contains no tracking or analytics. Your friendships are yours alone.

What we collect

Nothing. Lynx does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. There is no sign-up, no login, and no backend service that receives your information.

What you create stays on your device

The bonds, hangouts, notes, goals, and any photos you add are stored locally in the app's private storage on your device. They are not uploaded anywhere and are not accessible to us or any third party.

Backups

Backups are entirely under your control. When you choose to create one, the backup file is written only to the location you pick (for example Files or iCloud Drive). Lynx never sends backups anywhere on its own. Once a file leaves the app to a service you choose, that service's terms apply to it.

Photos

If you attach a photo to a friend, Lynx copies it into its own local storage so it can display it. Photos are used only inside the app and are never transmitted off the device by Lynx.

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled and shown locally by your device. No notification content is sent through any external server.

Purchases

The optional one-time "Lynx Full" unlock is processed by the App Store. Lynx never sees your payment details; Apple handles the transaction under Apple's privacy policy.

Children

Lynx contains no objectionable content and is suitable for all ages. Because it collects no data, it collects no data from children either.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
